A BUSINESS OWNER IS MAKING HEADLINES FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS

AGS Security Systems enjoyed such a successful spell as headline sponsor at last year’s Flintshire Business Awards that boss Jonathan Turner signed the company up again… and again and again.

The Mold company will sponsor the event until 2014.

This year’s gala evening takes place on Friday October 19 at Soughton Hall in Northop.

Jonathan said he was delighted to be involved after last year’s ceremony proved such a hit with the north east Wales business community.

“It was such a great occasion that I had no hesitation in committing to it for the next three years,” he said.

“It was brilliant to be involved, from a personal and professional perspective.

“We’ve come a long way as a company and are thrilled to be involved again.”

Jonathan added: “There was a great vibe last year and I’m sure this year’s awards will be even better.”

The Flintshire business team is already organising the landmark week of events that wil make up FBW12.

Business advisor Kate Catherall said: “without the support of people like Jonathan the awards would not go ahead.

“We hope to get many more sponsors on board and more people than ever entering the 11 competition categories .”

Now in its sixth year, the gala event showcases the achievements of some of Flintshire top firms.

Building on the success of previous years, 2012 will be even bigger and better for entrants and sponsors, with new awards and a whole programme of events and publicity throughout the year, added Kate.

At last year’s awards, Wagtail UK detection dog training company fetched three prizes. Louise Wilson and Collin Singer picked up the Women into Business Award and Businessperson of the Year trophy. The company was also named Small Business of the Year.

Other winners on the night were: P&A Group; Kingspan Insulation Panels; At 3D-Squared; DRB Group; CRT Recycling; Split the Difference; Luntstone Ltd.
